Call me crazy (and for those of you who grew up with know that this is), but I've actually been sewing after my kids go to sleep at night. My first project was a cape for LJ and then I made some curtains for the back room. Nothing fancy but they did the trick. The craziest of the crazy thing is that I actually enjoyed my time sewing....crazy, I know!! (perhaps it is possible for pigs to fly)

What I've been up to...

My 28th Birthday!
I'm lame, I didn't take any pictures of my birthday. Sorry for all of you so far away. I did have a great birthday. Jodi, from church, made Pastor Rick and I a YUMMY cake (it was so good)and we celebrated after church. Then Kevin, the kids and I went home and just relaxed. The next day, Anna came over to watch Audrey, LJ and Josiah, while Kevin and I had a date day. It was a lot of fun. I got a full body massage (got to lay on my tummy for the first time in months...it was wonderful!), then I got a pedicure (picture of my swollen but cute toes below), then we did lunch and went shopping. It was fabulous. I was spoiled rotten and loved every moment of it.
Never go bowling 8 months pregnant!

Knitting needles...LJ's new favorite Toy
Last Saturday the Women's Ministry hosted a knitting event where they taught us how to knit. I was really excited to learn and actually got the hang of it pretty well. However, when I got home and continued to practice, LJ sat by me and kept asking, "Mom, are you done? Is it my turn, yet?" He couldn't wait to get his hands on those needles. Finally, I got tired of him asking and I handed him the needles and the yarn. The first thing he did was pull them out of the loops and then he entertained himself for quite some time. At one point he looks at me and says, "Mom, this is my hook and this is my sword!" Got to love little boys, especially, LJ!
citronella
Most have you already heard, but for those of you who didn't....Josiah thought it would be a good idea to take a swig of citronella. It was a scary momment! Escpecially when you read the label and it says, "harmful, may cause death if swallowed". So, we had our first ambulance ride for our family and a long night at the hospital. He wasn't doing well at all at first, but through the power of prayer and the help of some great hospital staff all was taken care of. He spent the night in the ICU to be monitored and make sure all was good. He was discharged early the next day. Praise the Lord!!
