The Past's Week Happenings

It's been raining alot up until the last few days. If you can't beat the rain, you might as well join and enjoy it. These two went out in the pouring rain and had a blast!

LJ and Titus are quite the buds. They get along well together and here is a picture as proof.

LJ and his boards and ribbons. He made himself some wings, with the help of mom.

This is Titus' new favorite place...under the table to eat any scraps he can get his hands on. I just look at it as working on his fine motor skills as he attempts to feed himself.

Change of Command Ceremony

Our good friends, the Wall family, are headed to their next duty station, but before they left we got to watch Mr. Wall hand his command over to the next guy.
Waiting around for the ceremony to start. Yes, Audrey looks ike she is having a blast =)
Bonnie Wall is holding Titus...getting as much time as she can with him before she moves.

They were so good during the ceremony. I am blessed to have such good kids and was thankful that they displayed excellent behavior this day...

Mr. Wall getting recognized for all his service
Auntie Jodi receiving her certificate of appreciation for all that she did for the wives while their husbands were present or away.
Two great youth kids that we will miss greatly!! Church wasn't the same without you two today!
Titus just hanging around.

Repelling

Hooking up the harness

Excited about the future descent

Getting connected to Dad and the Light pole =)

Audrey on her way down

Day 2
He's a pro!

Our friend, Jonah's turn
Ethan rocked the wall, too!

This was fun, I did it, too, although the wall ends too quickly. We'll have find a higher place to repell down next time. The kids loved it, though! It took a couple of times to get comfortable, but they sure thought it was fun.

Castle Ruins

On Kev's day off this week we decided to get out and explore something new. We made a stop at some castle ruins not too far from our house, they were really cool and the view was beautiful.
View from lower level.

Headed up to upper level. Josiah and I were a little slower.

Titus chilling in his new carrier, which is the best carrier we have had thus far. Too bad we didn't know that the Ergo Baby Carrier existed when we had Audrey.

An entrance to an old cave

butterflies that Josiah chased everywhere
More Climbing!

LJ's June Bug

Audrey and Titus Watching LJ...

Play with his June Bug

Taking his bug for a ride

LJ was given this bug by a friend at church, who generously caught it for him. He asked to take it home and made a cage out of two paper cups taped together to carry it in the car. He transfered it to his bug box where it slept in his room for the night and then it was his best friend all morning long. That poor bug was a good sport as he took it everywhere and had it crawling on everything!

Matching Outfits

For you avid blog followers, you saw a picture of 3 of my kids in these outfits. However, when Abigail purchased them for us a year ago, she bought a total of 4, had to get one for the one on the way. So, we got around to wearing them and they all fit their size perfectly. THANKS!

for all my friends who hang their laundry out to dry

I've got a new song for you!! We've been listening to a kid's Sunday School Music CD with all sorts of songs and Audrey sings at the top of her lungs, "Bringing in the sheets, bringing in the sheets, we will come rejoicing bringing in the sheets". It's biblical...in all you do, in word or deed, do all to the glory of God!

a no picture post

I don't have any pictures to post, but I sure wish I could get some of Audrey's reasoning on tape. The things she says lately crack me up. Today, at lunch, she asked me what I was eating. I was clearly making a salad, so I told her, that I was making a salad and asked if she wanted one. She quickly said, "no, mom, God didn't make me to like salad". Made me smile. I guess she has caught on to my number one answer to the question, "why?"...I always reply, "because God made it that way". (I learned that answer from my Mom...looks like it will be something passed down for generations to come).

Then after lunch I told her that she should probably release the stick bug that she caught yesterday. She gladly did and came back to report to me that the stick bug walked away back to his family to take care of her babies (yes, the pronouns were all mixed up). I asked her what made her think that the bug had children at home. She simply said, "because everything that lives has babies", and I challenged her by saying, "well, you don't have a baby", and she replied, "Yes, I do. I have baby Titus." I guess that make sense...at least in her 4 year old mind.

He's always wanting to be Batman...and those are horns...not ears (you seriously don't want to debate him on the subject).
Overall, a great rainy day!
