What I've been up to...

Call me crazy (and for those of you who grew up with know that this is), but I've actually been sewing after my kids go to sleep at night. My first project was a cape for LJ and then I made some curtains for the back room. Nothing fancy but they did the trick. The craziest of the crazy thing is that I actually enjoyed my time sewing....crazy, I know!! (perhaps it is possible for pigs to fly)

My 28th Birthday!

I'm lame, I didn't take any pictures of my birthday. Sorry for all of you so far away. I did have a great birthday. Jodi, from church, made Pastor Rick and I a YUMMY cake (it was so good)and we celebrated after church. Then Kevin, the kids and I went home and just relaxed. The next day, Anna came over to watch Audrey, LJ and Josiah, while Kevin and I had a date day. It was a lot of fun. I got a full body massage (got to lay on my tummy for the first time in months...it was wonderful!), then I got a pedicure (picture of my swollen but cute toes below), then we did lunch and went shopping. It was fabulous. I was spoiled rotten and loved every moment of it.

Never go bowling 8 months pregnant!

Thought it would be fun to go bowling with the family. We did have a great time, don't get me wrong. I'm just paying for it dearly today. My body aches. Plus, look at the score! It's sad when my 2 year old (combined with some bowls from Audrey)beats me!

At the Park!

Yesterday, we had Taco Bell for dinner and played at the park. Here are some pictures of our evening of fun.

Knitting needles...LJ's new favorite Toy

Last Saturday the Women's Ministry hosted a knitting event where they taught us how to knit. I was really excited to learn and actually got the hang of it pretty well. However, when I got home and continued to practice, LJ sat by me and kept asking, "Mom, are you done? Is it my turn, yet?" He couldn't wait to get his hands on those needles. Finally, I got tired of him asking and I handed him the needles and the yarn. The first thing he did was pull them out of the loops and then he entertained himself for quite some time. At one point he looks at me and says, "Mom, this is my hook and this is my sword!" Got to love little boys, especially, LJ!

citronella

Most have you already heard, but for those of you who didn't....Josiah thought it would be a good idea to take a swig of citronella. It was a scary momment! Escpecially when you read the label and it says, "harmful, may cause death if swallowed". So, we had our first ambulance ride for our family and a long night at the hospital. He wasn't doing well at all at first, but through the power of prayer and the help of some great hospital staff all was taken care of. He spent the night in the ICU to be monitored and make sure all was good. He was discharged early the next day. Praise the Lord!!

Josiah's First Birthday - He had a ball!!

First things first...Breakfast

Time for Presents

Not very interested...recruited some help.

The gift LJ got for him.

What Audrey picked out.

Grand Finale...boxes from Pappa Les and Grandma Kay

Happy boy, ready for bed in his new PJs.

Cars and Balls this guy was in High Heaven!! Thanks for the fun gifts. They were much enjoyed by the entire family!

It's Cake Time!!

Didn't quite know what to do with the candle and he actually did put it out. Just with his hands =) We had to light it again while singing to him and then hold him hostage. Despite the candle deficiency he knew EXACTLY what to do with his cake =)

Happy Un-Birthday To You!

So, they both wanted a turn and we thought it would be good enough to just light the candle and blow it out. Nope, they needed the song, picture and everything! At least they will be well rehearsed for their actual birthdays.

Having a Baby is as easy as...

1, 2, 3
(Or at least that's the ages of our children now)

or Not =)

We took about 6 of these shots. Most turned out like the 2nd!
