Shopping...not a fan!

At least he makes the most of it!

4 months

Titus is 4 months now and is a little more maintanence these days. He loves interaction and wants to be where the action is. He's up more and wants to be entertained by conversation or toys. He's still an easy baby, but I think he's going to love it once he can get around and not be left behind. Today he discovered how to roll onto his tummy...yeah, he doesn't like it so much.

Sick?

So, we were all ready and on our way to church when Josiah decides to ralph his breakfast all over the place (I spared you and didn't take a picture). However, after arriving home and getting him and his carseat all cleaned up look at where he went to first...



...Sick?...I think not...bluffing?...He's only 1...
He's eaten and has drinken and everything as stayed down. Sick? I just don't know, but if he is, it's the best stomach flu this house as ever had =)

Save the Trees!

Random, I know, but this is the second tree this week that I followed. Let me tell you,the Japanese know how to save the trees!

Street Witnessing

Last night the youth met at Mihama "American Village" instead of at church for our normal Friday Night Youth Group. We went out in the streets and attempted to share our faith with the dying world around us. I found it to be incredibly difficult and I even felt bad for the girls who chose me to be their leader. I had no clue what to say after the normal conversation starters. Man, I really lacked boldness and was very discouraged, but many of the youth and other leaders brought back some great reports. Please pray for us as we will be making this a normal outing for the first Friday of each month.

Here is Audrey and her friend, Jaylee, sharing the love of Christ. They would go up to anyone and hand out a tract. I pray that this is just the beginning of obeying the great commission.

Funny story: Audrey tried to give a tract to a Japanese couple but they told her no. Jaylee goes up to Audrey and asks, "what happened, they didnt' want it?" Audrey replies, "they told me, no." Jaylee then says, "what? They don't want to know about Jesus?"

Kevin sharing with a couple of guys who were just hanging out. They knew about Jesus and Kevin was asking them what they were doing with that knowledge and reminded them that it takes receiving and living out that truth in order to be God's child. One gentlemen openly admitted that he didn't want to give up the things he was doing now in order to follow Him. Pray that the hearts here will be softened.

Battle Color Ceremony

Today we got to go see the US Marine Drum and Bugle Corps and the Silent Drill Platoon. It was a really neat experience.

I wanted to get a picture of Audrey covering her hears, but apparently she moved on to her water by the time I got the picture out.

The boys were really digging it!

The band was awesome and we had a group of young boys sitting behind us who were using all these "drummer" terms and were thoroughlly imppressed with their skills.

We came so that LJ could see the guys with their shoot guns, but he wasn't all that impressed. They were really good, though!

We even got to take a picture with one of the young men! Audrey got hold his riffle. LJ was too shy to join the picture.

Titus was doing what he does best.

"Finger Chips"

Here is LJ eating one of his favorite snacks. They are in the Japanese stores and we can't really read the label, but he likes to call them "finger chips"...And here is the reason why...

Discipline

THis is what happens when you leave an in trouble boy in the bathroom to wait for his punishment for disobeying. The bathroom has become our "holding center" while I either cool off or decide what the punishment is going to be. The other kids know to stay out while the culprit is awaiting correction. He locked himself in the bathroom and told me that he didn't want to be in trouble. I told him that was fine but we were headed to church so he needed to stay in there until I got home. I got all the kids ready and started walking out the door when he unlocks the bathroom door and cries wanting to come with us. I then told him that he would have to first get his spanking for disobeying...I followed him back into the bathroom where I found this. GRR!! Got to love curveballs in the parenting department!!

My Boys!

Here they are all loaded up into the van, ready for the shopping adventure. LJ really should

be in a carseat but he asked if he could sit with his bros. Good thing carseat laws are pretty much non-existent in Okinawa.
