Cupcakes

We finished his birthday at church with the youth group. We shared cupcakes with the youth kids and some of the youth even brought him a gift.

A showcase of mediocore decorating skills...at least they tasted good!

Yummy cake!

It's Not All Glamorous

I usually just blog about the fun stuff that we do around here, but then what about the not so fun stuff? Well, here is a little glimpse of what life is really like. I know some of you wished I lived closer and bummed that you miss out watching my children grow up, but let's keep it real...motherhood isn't always glamorous =)

This is the worst blow out EVER!! Titus only goes once every 3 to 5 days and it's always bad...but this...I was ready to turn in the towel on being a mom!

Ferris Wheel

In attempt to get both Audrey and LJ to keep a dry diaper at night we have them on a reward system. Once they go ten nights (earn 10 marbles) then they can pick out something fun to do. LJ has done it twice already. The first time he went bowling with Dad, this time he wanted to ride the Ferris Wheel. It's a 15 minute ride and they loved it!

Hair Cuts

This is one of my least favorite chores ever!! I have attempted to take all the kids for the boys to get their haircuts, but we practically all end the trip in tears (me included!). I now have designated it as a chore for just Kevin...I took pictures of the joyous moment. They both fell apart and cried until Kevin in his fatherly voice told them to straighten up. Man, why can't I have that authority!

The final product!

Time for a new Tub

I think we officially have outgrown our tub!!

Military stuff

Josiah is really into helmets...didn't you know you need to wear one when you use your magnidoodle?

We went to a friend's work event and Josiah was all into the helmets. He kept putting one on and then running to the rock wall hoping that he could climb it. Too bad you had to be 6 to participate =)

Inside a make-shift shelter. The kids thought it was pretty cool. They even asked the other day if we could sleep in a tent. When I told them that we didn't have one, they said we could make it out of sticks and leaves like at Mr. Andrew's work.

Twins

The other day Audrey asked me to pick out some clothes for her to wear. After she saw that I brought her pink shirt, she asked, "Mom, will you wear your pink shirt so we can match?" Well, I figure she won't always want to look like me so I better do it when she asks. We were twins...down to the pink hairbands in our braided hair. She really thought it was cool. Someday she'll come across these pictures and ask herself, "what was I thinking?!"

watching Dad fix things

When anything breaks at our house the kids are quick to say, "it's okay, Dad will fix it." They think he is a super fix it guy and he does do a great job. Here he is putting a bolt back into the office chair and the kids are so into what he is doing.

LJ's Lasso

LJ got a lasso from his Uncle Robby and LOVES it!! Here he is hog-tying an Audrey and a chair. He loves tying things up!!
