last night of summer series "Good News Club"

The last 12 weeks the youth kids have been responsible for running the Wednesday Night Children's program. We did two 6 week Child Evangelism Fellowship Series, "Our Awesome God" and "Big Questions About Prayer". The youth kids did a GREAT job of teaching the Bible lesson, leading the music, presenting the memory verse and gospel activity, playing the review game and sharing the missionary story. It was neat to see them grow in their leadership skills.

Quiet Time

The house was quiet and I didn't know what they were up. They tend to do this a few times a day...disperse and enjoy quieter activities. Here was today's result.

helpers

When I asked LJ what he was doing he said, "I'm a dishwasher". I guess he aspires to be like his uncles. Honestly, their cleaning drives me nuts because it really means more cleaning for me later, but I try to encourage it and remind myself that the dishes could use a good rinse before being washed.

What a Dad!

Complete pedicure and manicure from her dad. Audrey was in high heaven. He clipped, cleaned and painted her nails. He's a trooper and he does a better job then me because he's patient and takes his time. I just slop it on knowing that it will all fall off in 24 hours. All this to say, Kevin won some cool points with his little girl yesterday afternoon.

Around the house

Here are a few of the older two just hanging out.

Water Park

I was able to catch a few pictures before the lifeguard told me that cameras were not allowed at the poolside...oh, well!

Josiah...10 months

Kevin and I have been feeling guilty because we never take pictures of this little guy. We know that if we are this bad with the 3rd it's only going to get worse with the 4th. So, here are a few pictures so I don't feel like the terrible parent that I am =) He will now have at least have a little bit of proof that he grew up in our home.

I do Wear clothes...sometimes!

For all of those who think I don't own any clothes for this kid. See, here is some proof. I took some pictures on a day when we actually went somewhere.

Question of the day: Why do kids enjoying playing in their carseats when it's not in the car? I don't get it. You strap them down for a ride and they rebel. You put a carseat in a home with a million other toys and they opt for the carseat...hmmm...kids!!

Peek-A-Boo

Where did Josiah go?

Oh, there he is!!

Josiah is only my third and it feels as if I have played this game countless times. It often makes me think of my parents...5 kids...that's a lot of "where did so-and-so go?". Simple things like this make me appreciate my parents all the more.

updated...finally!

So, it's been awhile and I'm really sorry. Our cameras have been out of commission and we have also been slacker picture takers. However, the other day, we bought a NEW camera and I'm excited! Hopefully, this means that I'll be updating our blog more and letting you in on our lives. Things have been good. We pretty much stay busy playing around the house and doing things at church. Our hermit crab mentioned in the last post was missing the next morning when we went to go find him. Audrey is convinced that he climbed the stairs. I don't know what happened to him, but I'm sorry I never got to post a picture. Perhaps, we'll run across another one someday and bring him back to our house and actually make a home for him. Now it's time to post some pictures! Well, for whatever reason I can't get the pictures to upload. Will have to continue to wait...in the mean time I'll continue to take pictures.
